ACCC Compliance Statement
Introduction
Forever Bridal & Formal is committed to full compliance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) as outlined by the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC). This statement explains your consumer rights and how we meet our obligations when supplying goods through our online store.
Your Consumer Rights
Under Australian Consumer Law, customers are entitled to consumer guarantees that goods must:
• Be of acceptable quality
• Match descriptions and photos
• Be fit for their intended purpose
• Be supplied with reasonable care and skill
These rights apply to all purchases made from Forever Bridal & Formal.
Major vs Minor Problems
ACL distinguishes between “major” and “minor” problems:
• A **major problem** means the product is significantly different from the description, unsafe, or cannot be used for its intended purpose. In this case, customers are entitled to a replacement or refund.
• A **minor problem** can be repaired. In this case, Forever Bridal & Formal may choose to repair, replace or provide store credit.
When Remedies May Not Apply
Consumer guarantees do not apply when:
• The customer simply changes their mind
• The incorrect size was chosen
• The event is cancelled or postponed
• Damage occurs through misuse, alteration or improper care
• The issue is caused by normal wear, fabric characteristics or manufacturing variances that are not faults
These situations are not considered faults under the ACCC guidelines.
Faulty Items Process
If you believe your item has a manufacturing fault, please contact us within 2 business days of receiving your order. We will request clear photos and a written description to assist in assessment.
If a fault is confirmed:
• Minor faults may be repaired or remedied
• Major faults may qualify for replacement or refund
All assessments follow ACCC guidelines.
Alterations & Fit
Altered garments, or garments that do not fit due to customer selection, are not considered faulty under the ACL. Alterations are performed independently and do not affect your ACL rights regarding the unaltered product.
